Recognised as a leader in their field, our client is seeking a Head of HR to join their organisation in this newly created role. As the Head of HR you will work closely with the HR Director and the Senior Leadership team to ensure the effective implementation of the HR strategy.  The organisation is in a stage of growth, both organically and through acquisition and HR has been identified as an integral part in ensuring the organisation achieves its goals.

Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team you will influence key stakeholders to ensure a consistent approach to the delivery of HR across a multi site operation. Working closely with the HR Director you will be responsible for delivering key projects as well as looking after the ER / IR Agenda for the organisation.

Within the role you manage a team of HR Business Partners and HR Managers across a number of sites, coaching and developing them, to create a high performing team.  In addition, you will be an escalation point for complex ER cases and be responsible for Local and National Union negotiations.

As the ideal candidate you will have a track record of operating in a highly complex heavy industry environment where you have had to provide both strategic and operational support to a business.  You will be a creative / forward thinking individual who is able to understand how short term decisions impact the long term goals of the organisation.
