HR Manager – Part time

To lead the HR operation covering all aspects of HR and L&D ensuring that managers receive timely proactive, professional, and business focused HR guidance.

To develop and implement HR policies that ensure employees and managers are working together to deliver the best service we can to our clients and to ensure that HR strategy promotes the core values, supports the business objectives and ensures compliance with best practice and current legislation.

To support the Senior team to drive their vision and embed their values within their culture. You will be responsible for managing the HR function and partnering with the business to provide day to day HR support as well as longer term strategic guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations; HR policies and procedures that reflect organisational values, legislation and HR best practice. Policies that enable early, positive intervention. Provision of support to employees and managers to encourage positive, constructive early dialogue to head off issues and to properly manage formal procedures.

Talent Management; there is an effective but simple process for establishing individuals with high potential. Introduce effective and appropriate career management and succession planning procedures.There is a simple and effective succession planning process for key positions.

Performance; ensure employees know how they contribute to the business ensure employees and manager’s meet up regularly to have a conversation and to pickup on and develop and appropriate resolution to any issues either party brings to the table.

Remuneration and Reward; a holistic overview of all elements of reward (salary review process and bonus award), to ensure a fair, equitable and cost effective remuneration strategy based on contribution and effort is maintained. Checks and balances that the comprehensive reward strategy serves its design purpose to engage employees, promote satisfaction and encourages people to be the best they can be and make a positive contribution.

HR Strategy; Develop an HR Strategy that aims at integrating the businesses culture, its employees and systems by coordinating a set of actions to get the required business goals.

Employee Communications; to manage an effective communication programme that communicates what the organisation stands for and how people fit into the plan, encourages feedback and building proactive, timely and accessible two-way communication channels.

Recruitment; the development of a structured approach capable of attracting the most suitable candidates and an objective selection process to measure the fit of candidates to role. Positive and professional image of the business across all contact points in the recruitment process.Development of effective induction procedures.

Wellbeing, Health & Safety; Develop and implement policies to identify and effectively manage possible sources of stress, early intervention procedures to identify and manage health and wellbeing issues, effective and constructive occupational health services. Management of risk assessment processes.

HR Reporting; maintenance of an HR system

Employee Engagement; to manage an effective communication programme that communicates what the organisation stands for and how people fit into the plan, encourages feedback and building proactive, timely and accessible two-way communication channels. Develops a plan to improve or maintain staff engagement and introduce effective measurement.

Organisational Design & Development; Supporting the delivery of organisational change initiatives
